Writing While Female, The Tour continued

Our NYC #WritingWhileFemale presentation at the historic Jefferson Market Library was a grand success. Big thanks to the library staff; our terrific publisher, Amberjack; and the folks from Midpoint who helped make it possible.

Heidi Mastrogiovanni and I were overwhelmed by the turnout. We will never forget our friends and family who braved Arctic temperatures and schlepped long distances (from Boston! Albany! Connecticut! New Jersey! Long Island! Rockland County! The Upper West Side!) just for us. We thank them all for supporting us, for their insightful comments and questions, for buying our books.

Among the people who turned up for me: Five cousins. My son-in-law's parents, who came all the way from Boston. Fifteen high school friends. Three friends from elementary school whom I hadn't seen in decades. The son of the late Mrs. Lewis, the fifth-grade teacher I thank in my acknowledgements for having encouraged me to become a writer. Friends and former colleagues from my teaching days at Hunter. Another fellow Amberjack author.

This was a day I will always remember.

Please check back for updates about readings and signings at locations here, there, and everywhere.
